Accreditationstrengthens ECI’s ability to provide trusted laboratory testing and integratedsupport to life sciences organizations
ALAJUELA, CostaRica — August 6, 2026 — ECI announced today that its Product & Packaging Testing Laboratory, located in the Coyol Free Zone in Costa Rica, has achieved ISO/IEC17025:2017 accreditation from A2LA for technical competence in mechanical testing.
The accreditation recognizes the laboratory’s technical competence for its defined testing scope and the operation of a laboratory quality management system. ECI’s accredited scope includes testing performed on packaging systems and sterile products, including distribution simulation, environmental conditioning, vibration, drop, compression, altitude, package integrity, seal strength, leak testing, and aging studies.
“This is an important milestone in ECI’s journey and a reflection of the expertise, discipline, and shared commitment of our team,” said Brijesh Patel, Chief Executive Officer of ECI. “ECI is recognized as a premier global MedTech partner—combining end-to-end consulting expertise, innovative AI-enabled solutions, world-class laboratory capabilities, and a high-performing culture to deliver meaningful outcomes for customers, employees, and stakeholders. Achieving ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation further reinforces that commitment and strengthens the confidence our clients place in ECI as their trusted partner.”
For ECI clients, the accreditation provides greater confidence in testing performed within the laboratory’s accredited scope. It strengthens ECI’s ability to support product validations, FDA submissions, CAPA investigations, and other critical testing activities with reliable, repeatable, and internationally recognized results.
“Achieving ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is a defining milestone for ECI and our laboratory,” said Juan Carlos Rodriguez, Director of Consulting Operations, LATAM at ECI. “More than a certification, it reflects the expertise, dedication, and commitment of our team to deliver technically sound, reliable results our clients can trust. We built this laboratory to provide capabilities that were not previously available in Costa Rica and the region, and this accreditation reinforces our commitment to being a strategic partner for product validation, quality, and innovation. This is only the beginning—we will continue expanding our capabilities to meet our clients’ evolving needs.”
ECI plans to continue investing in its laboratory capabilities and expanding its accredited service offerings to address evolving client needs. The achievement further strengthens ECI’s Product & Packaging Testing platform and its ability to support life sciences organizations throughout product development, validation, commercialization, and ongoing quality activities.
