Hoyt Randall “Randy,” Smith, is the co-founder and CEO of Enhanced Compliance Inc. Randy has more than 20 years of consulting experience, and 35 years of executive management, engineering, and program management expertise in life science, and diverse industries, in both domestic and international settings.
Prior to ECI, Randy held leadership and auditor roles in companies such as Regulatory Compliance Associates and Renosol Corporation(Lear Corporation). Throughout his career he has served in roles such as VP of Operations, Manufacturing Site Manager and Director of Quality & Program Management. As a certified independent third-party auditing contractor, he has audited compliance to ISO13485, ISO14001, ISO9001, TS16949, and QS9000. He has fully installed Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems for many companies, who then successfully received ISO certification. Additionally, he spent time as an adjunct faculty in Mid-Michigan Community College, where he taught calculus, biochemistry, and chemistry. Randy frequently speaks at industry tradeshows, such as MD&M East.
Randy was awarded the prestigious 4-year Wayne State University Academic Merit Scholarship and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
In his free time, Randy loves to travel, spending time learning about the culture, topography, geology, foods, and history of the places he visits. He also loves to scuba dive, where he can observe a whole other unique world of amazing creatures.
